confuse the executive coaching process with the consulting process. They

Why is it so hard for executives
to call for a coach?
Because asking for help is most often perceived as a sign of weakness.
Having the appearance of a weakness is often considered devastating. Male
(and now many female) executives are expected to be strong and secure.
Executives are expected to be decisive, focused, competitive, and indestructible.
