Carmen was a 55-year-old man who had retired from a prominent
position in the insurance industry and moved from Pennsylvania to Naples,
Florida with his wife to enjoy the sun and fun of retirement. He and
his family had been vacationing in Naples for more than ten years and
thought living there would be the ultimate in retirement. They bought
a lovely home on the golf course, not far from the beaches their family
had enjoyed for years. Carmen had it made, with a very generous retirement
package and their house became a magnet, attracting their children,
their grandchildren, and many friends during the winter to escape the
snow and cold, and enjoy the sun and fun in Florida. Carmen became an
avid golfer and thoroughly enjoyed showing his northern visitors around.
But, when they left, Carmen and his wife were faced with the need to
start a new life in a new world. They were strangers in a resort driven
area and they missed their support team of friends and acquaintances
they had developed over the 25 years of living in Pennsylvania.
Carmen felt he was still young and he was restless. He decided to purchase
a small business to relive the feelings of accomplishment, belonging,

You are probably
thinking that career coaching is just another form of career counseling,
disguised by a new title. You have most
likely used career counselors or even conducted counseling yourself and
feel that a career coach would not offer
anything you could not get from counselor. But is this true?
Career coaching is completely different than
the career counseling process. You will discover and get your ideal
income position, so you will "Go to Play" every day with
a professional career coach that you did not accomplish through counseling,
BECAUSE the
processes are so different.
Your career coach concentrates all efforts on
discovering your true passions, desires, priorities, values and talents
first. You will become "The World's Leading Expert on You."
Then you and your coach will develop or create the income positions that
will allow you to fulfill your passions, and desires, follow your beliefs
and priorities and maximize your talents, so you will love what you do
and do what you love. (Income positions include working for others
in a job, being an independent contractor, or being a business owner or
partner)
Then you and your career coach will go get your ideal
position. (This will be easier and quicker than you think, once
you know what it is and why). Your career coach starts with you to
find and get the position to ideally suit YOU
While career counselors focus on the filling
jobs. Career counselors can only react to the job openings that they
know are available and they will try to mold you and repackage you to
suit the needs and expectations of the hiring employer. With career counseling
you chase job opportunities and hope you will get hired. (Career counselors
fill jobs and do not necessarily consider any other form of income)
Note, that we are not saying that career coaching
is better than career counseling, but that the two processes are exactly
the opposite with different purposes and different methods. If you just
want a job, and most any job will do, consider using a career counselor.
But if you want to "Go to Play" every day, you will want
to use a career coach.

The Privacy and Confidential promise of The Coach
Connection.
Everything you do with TCC will be
kept very private and confidential. Period! We reveal noting about
you to anyone. We do not use your information to contact you again, unless
you specifically request us to. We have to receive your expressed permission
to include you in our Newsletter list, (where you voluntarily opt in)
and we immediately unsubscribe you at your request. We do not provide
any information about you to anyone, unless you provide TCC with your
specifically expressed permission. (We had to obtain specific permission
to provide the many testimonials, published on this site and elsewhere.)
We do not even reveal if we have talked to you, let alone being one of
our clients. If anyone should inquire about your contacting TCC, we will
only tell him or her that maybe you have contacted us or maybe you haven't.
In addition, what goes on between your
TCC Member Coach and you is so confidential and private that the only
way anyone will know about it is if you tell them. In fact, your TCC Member
Coach cannot even reveal to TCC what transpires between you two with the
exception of scheduling and coaching fee matters, which we have to know
about, because that is our job.
TCC keeps your information and your
involvement in career coaching secret. We are proud of what our clients
accomplish through career coaching, and we love to brag about you, which
we do on our TCC Clients Bragging Site. But we know that you must have
total control and confidence in the secrecy of what you do with TCC and
transpires between you and your TCC Member Coach for you to achieve
your coachable goals on your terms.
